RED RASPBERRY LEAF LEMON COOLER
Red Raspberry leaf tea has been used for many years to help tone and strengthen the uterine muscles, helping to promote a shorter successful labor.This study indicates that RRLT helps shorten labor and results in fewer medical interventions, including cesarean.
Red raspberry leaf is also high in Vitamins C, E, A, B and has significant amounts of major minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus. Even more, it can improve digestion and respiratory health as well!
Makes: 8-12 Servings
INGREDIENTS
- 4 bags of Red Raspberry Leaf Tea (or 4 Tbsp if using loose leaf tea)
- 2 Tbsp local honey
- 2-4 lemons, depending on level of tartness you like :)
- 4 scoops Collagen Peptides (optional)
- Filtered water
DIRECTIONS:
Take 4 red raspberry leaf tea bags and place in 1 quart Mason jar. Boil 4 cups of filtered water and add to your tea. Let it sit for 30 minutes. Strain tea or remove tea bags. Then add 1-2 Tbsp of raw honey and the juice of 2-4 lemons (I Iike mine extra tart!) Fill the rest of the way with filtered water.
You can also add collagen peptides to help support hair, skin , nails, and ligament health and to add some protein in order to balance out the carbohydrates.
Put in refrigerator and serve with a wedge of lemon for added refreshment.
Try to drink 1-2 cups/day starting in the 2nd trimester as it can cause some cramping and contracting if started too early. The brand that I use is traditional medicinals.
